Trusts
A trust is a legal structure. It can be included within your Will or created in your lifetime using a separate document.

Trusts provide protection for your wealth and assets and also give control over who benefits.

There are many scenarios where it would be sensible for you to use a Trust and your Ashwood Law Estate Planner will advise you where appropriate.

Here are some examples where putting a Trust in place would be beneficial:

-
You have a spouse or partner and there are children from a previous relationship

-
You wish to leave money to your family but you also have dependants who are vulnerable, or have a disability, and their share would need to be protected in some way

-
You would like to prevent beneficiaries challenging your wishes upon death

Our estate planner will go through the options, explain how they work and the protection they provide.
